What is Water Softening?
The Water treatment process of softening is used to treat hard water also known as Limescale in water. Water Softening is the water treatment process of removal of Calcium, Magnesium and certain other metals in hard water. Using a Water Softener will extend the lifetime of your plumbing and appliances. Water Softening is achieved using Iron exchange resin.
Hard water can create damaging deposits in your plumbing system, water heater, and other water-using appliances, and make washing dishes, clothing, skin, and even your hair.
A water softener will reduce the calcium or magnesium ion concentration in water making your water “soft”. These “hardness ions” cause two major kinds of problems. The metal ions react with soaps and calcium-sensitive detergents, hindering their ability to lather properly and forming an unsightly precipitate. Presence of “hardness ions” also inhibits the cleaning effect of detergent formulations. Water hardness is responsible for many maintenance and process problems in commercial applications. R O Water system Automatic Commercial Water Softeners provide soft water to meet the demanding specifications of all types of businesses and institutions with simple and reliable equipment.

RO Water Systems offer a wide range of Water Purification or Water Treatment solutions and we use the Salt-Based Ion Exchange Softener solution to tread Hard water or to eliminate limescale in water.
The Salt-based Ion Exchange softening solution for Household application work as follow:
This application uses two tanks: one with special resin beads and the other filled with brine. It works on the principle of ion exchange, softening hard water by substituting sodium (salt) for hard minerals such as calcium, magnesium, and iron.
